A Blissful Getaway in Da Nang

Our main objective for the recent three nights we spent in Da Nang? Much-needed rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation!

To kick off our tranquil getaway, we decided to stay at The Blossom Resort Island, and boy, did it live up to our expectations! The serene atmosphere made it the perfect choice for our break. The pool area, with its inviting swinging beds, provided us with the ultimate relaxation experience. I couldn’t resist dozing off on one of those cozy beds after a refreshing soak in the pool.

Our room at The Blossom Resort Island was spacious and comfortable, offering us a peaceful haven to unwind. And guess what? The toilet even had an electronic bidet, adding a touch of luxury to our stay. The staff at the resort were incredibly attentive and made sure our every need was met. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home!

One of the highlights of our stay was the scrumptious breakfast buffet spread at The Blossom Resort Island. We couldn’t resist indulging in the mouthwatering options available. From freshly cooked eggs, fluffy waffles, to delightful pancakes, we savored every bite. The chef was more than happy to whip up our preferred choices, ensuring our breakfast experience was nothing short of amazing.

As if that wasn’t enough, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the resort offered a complimentary bowl of chicken or beef pho for supper every night. Talk about going above and beyond to keep their guests satisfied! The comforting flavors of Vietnam’s famous pho against the calm backdrop of the river served as the perfect way to end our evenings.

While our days were filled with relaxation and rejuvenation at the resort, we couldn’t resist exploring the vibrant city of Da Nang. Here are a few exciting places we visited during our stay:

Where we went

Con Market

Con Market in Da Nang

Our visit to Con Market was an adventure in itself. The clothing and accessories section was bustling with crowds when we arrived in the mid-afternoon. My mother couldn’t contain her excitement when she found 5 quilted tote bags at a steal of only VND50,000 (less than S$3) each. Even WJ, our enthusiastic home cook, was thrilled with his purchase of dried squid for his homemade soups. Although some of the food stalls were closed for an afternoon siesta, we still relished the lively atmosphere.

Son Tra Night Market

The Son Tra Night Market was a culinary paradise. We found ourselves spoiled for choice with the wide array of delectable street food options available. To sample as much as possible, we ordered food from several stalls and happily shared our delightful finds. My mother also took the opportunity to indulge in some souvenir shopping, bringing home lovely mementos from this vibrant market. We were fortunate to catch a lively concert during our visit with enthusiastic performers. It’s likely the concert was for celebrating the three consecutive national holidays: the Hung Kings Temple Festival, Reunification Day, and Labour Day.

Helio Night Market

The Helio Night Market was a youthful and energetic hotspot. Most of the booth owners appeared to be young students, adding a vibrant atmosphere to the market. Once again, we indulged in various street food delights, relishing every bite. The small stage with live singers only added to the lively ambiance, making it a memorable evening for all.

Dragon Bridge

Dragon Bridge breathing fire in Da Nang

No visit to Da Nang would be complete without witnessing the awe-inspiring Dragon Bridge. We made our way there after exploring the Son Tra Night Market, as it was conveniently located nearby. The bridge attracted a massive crowd for its iconic fire and water-breathing show at 7pm which only happens on weekends.

We also visited Marble Mountains 7 years ago.

Our three nights in Da Nang were amazing, and our objectives? Rest: Check, Relaxation: Check, Rejuvenation: Check!
