19 Weeks in Japan
6 years after our first long trip, we're about to embark on another one - and a longer one this time for 19 weeks! Woohoo! I can't wait! What brought on this trip? But it was difficult to explore more deeply while having to take only short breaks while working full-time.

Cycling in Yufuin through Rain and Sunshine

Hokkaido: Stop and Smell the Roses
Probably best known for its ski slopes in winter, Hokkaido has always been high on our list of must-go places, but we never could go at the right time (winter for snow, or summer for flowers). And although we could only go in late September this time, we booked the tickets anyway!

Gunma is the Secret Escape that Everyone has Forgotten
Barely 3 hours away, Gunma is a convenient getaway from the bustling Tokyo city very much like how Hua Hin is an escape from Bangkok. But unlike Hua Hin, the prefecture has a rather “unpopular” reputation amongst locals that there’s nothing much to do there. I beg to differ. There’s so many things to see and do, so how did this impression come about? I guess it’s just really the lack of marketing. Here’s why Gunma needs to be on everyone’s bucket list! #1: Skiing in Gunma It’s one of the most accessible ski resorts from Tokyo. Although I’m not the best at skiing, I heard the snow quality is…
