When WJ and I planned our day trip to Takachiho Gorge and Mount Aso, we initially wanted to navigate the journey on our own. But we found out that the buses were very limited and it looked too difficult to plan.

After our first experience with cycling in Japan, WJ and I knew that we wanted to do it again on this trip. Yufuin was the best place to do it as it’s a small town known for its hot springs and a picturesque lake set against rolling mountains.

Ahh… Kyushu, the land of tonkotsu ramen. The delicious, steaming hot, thick, creamy broth that warms you up from the inside. It’s comfort food at its best, and one of our favourite meals.
