The Cruise to Nowhere Showdown: Royal Caribbean vs Dream Cruises
Before COVID happened, I never thought I'd be someone who actually enjoyed going on cruises. But after a Cruise to Nowhere on Royal Caribbean, I can proudly say that I've joined the ranks of cruise-lovers, and we'll definitely be going on more cruises in the future - whether to nowhere or to a real destination.

Sleepy Cats at Meomi Cat Cafe
I knew exactly where I wanted to bring WJ for his Christmas surprise - a cat café! The only problem? I'm terrified of cats (and most animals).
-
A Short Tour of Coney Island
We went to Coney Island in long pants and armed with insect repellant - all except for WJ. He'd rather deal with the risk of sandfly attacks than sweat too much.

Homerun Baseball in Singapore: 3 Strikes and you’re Out!
My sister and I had a baseball set for kids when we were younger. We never quite managed to hit the ball with the bat though. And we were going to see how much we'd improved over the years at Homerun Baseball.

G.Spa: Rest and Relaxation for 24 hours
"Are you excited for your birthday surprise?" I teased WJ as we made our way from Mountbatten station to an old building. The G.Spa sign was splashed across the front of the building.

Cultivating my Green Thumb: Making a Terrarium!
I've never had green fingers. I wanted to plant little pots of vegetables and flowers when I was a kid. I didn't even have the opportunity to kill the plants. They never even grew! Even after my constant watering, not one stalk peeked out of the soil.

Haw Par Villa, a Theme Park from the Past
Which theme park in Singapore doesn't have rides but can still make you scream? Haw Par Villa! Alright, it won't technically make you scream (unless you're that much of a scaredy-cat), but the park doesn't have rides. It did once in the 90s but the rides got shut down amfter a change of management to the Singapore Tourism Board! Now, it's more of a tourist attraction than a theme park.

Dinner on the Sea (Kelong)
What's big, can hold many people up but doesn't sink into the sea? A kelong! A platform built mainly with wood, kelongs are primarily used for fishing purposes but can be used as housing too. They hover above the sea and are anchored by wooden piles driven into the seabed.

Getting our Hands Dirty at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle
Deep in the jungle lies the aptly named Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle, a rustic place filled with all things ceramic. So technically it's not in the jungle, but it is located in CleanTech Park near NTU. It's still pretty far away and hard to get to, especially if you live on the other side of Singapore! It took us about 2 hours from Pasir Ris to get to this little haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A morning at Pulau Ubin
Need to get away from the hustle and bustle from the city life, but only have a single day? Luckily we have Pulau Ubin just a short while away then!
