Budget Breakdown: 9 Days in Palawan
Although there was supposed to be bad weather in January (which is when we visited Palawan), we were blessed with pretty dry weather and a few days of glorious blue skies! Thank goodness for that because all of our activities were outdoors and torrential rains would have ruined most of our plans.

5 Activities to Do in Palawan if you Don’t Dive
What’s there to do in Palawan if you don’t dive? Plenty, as it turns out. Sure, you’ll be missing out on the gorgeous underwater life if you don’t know or learn how to dive. And Palawan IS known as a diver’s paradise. But if you’re afraid of deep, dark waters or scared of sea (or most) animals like me, you’ll still have lots to do in Palawan.

Tips to Survive the Journey to Boracay
The trip to Boracay took quite a while. We were initially skeptical about going because of the many steps involved. Yes, I know it's much shorter than previously when there wasn't a flight to Kalibo Airport and you had to fly to Manila instead. But still, 4 different steps to get to one place seemed quite tedious! Hotel Review: Casa Mia at Nami Resort
From one end of Boracay to the other end: Hello Diniwid Beach! You're a wee little thing, aren't you? When we booked Casa Mia at Nami Resort (what a mouthful!), it wasn't our first choice. One of our friends had booked the last room at Nami Resort and we wanted to stay close by because that's what group holidays are about. We didn't have many choices what with Diniwid Beach being such a tiny stretch of beach, so we booked Casa Mia since it was within the Nami Resort compound. And it was much cheaper than the Nami Resort rooms!

Island Hopping in Boracay
Bang! Ouch! I'd hit my head against the doorway of the boat while going in. I rubbed my head and looked up to almost 30 people in the boat. Wow. Our island hopping tour was fully booked, and this was the start of the wet season?

The Best Food and Restaurants to Try in Boracay
Will it taste weird? Will I starve in Boracay? What kind of food do Pinoys eat anyway? Although I live in Singapore, home to many cultures and cuisines, I am embarrassed to say that I had yet to try Filipino food in my 26 years. This was my virgin experience. And to my surprise, some dishes tasted and looked so familiar!

Hotel Review: Villa Caemilla
It was bugs galore at Villa Caemilla. I don't blame the hotel since it was a beach we were staying on, but for the 4 nights we stayed there, there was a different bug in the room each day!

Magic Island: Just Jump!
My heart was pounding in my chest. I looked down at the crystal clear waters and tried to calm myself. "Jump! Jump! Jump!" a chant started up around me. Oh god... I turned around to look at the group of spectators edging me on and gave a weak smile.
