19 Weeks in Japan
6 years after our first long trip, we're about to embark on another one - and a longer one this time for 19 weeks! Woohoo! I can't wait! What brought on this trip? Well, we're suckers for travelling, as you can probably tell by our blog devoted to our travels. But it was difficult to explore more deeply while having to take only short breaks while working full-time.

8 Hours in Zurich
After a work trip to Zurich in early March, my colleague and I found ourselves with some free time before our night flight back to Singapore. We decided to take advantage of the time to wander through the city, aiming to stretch our legs and explore the city, hoping to tire ourselves out enough to sleep on the long flight home!

Slow Travelling in and around Hat Yai
Hat Yai was a great place for a slow vacation. There are plenty of markets and cafes for good food, countless places for relaxing massages, and it's close enough to travel out of the city to nature parks or islands for something a little different.

Foodie Paradise, Penang
While Singapore celebrated its 58th birthday, WJ and I took a short flight to Penang with my parents to rest, relax, and of course, eat. WJ was so excited to try all the different dishes and stores that he planned out a food itinerary that would have us eating every hour. Every hour!

Cycling in Yufuin through Rain and Sunshine
After our first experience with cycling in Japan, WJ and I knew that we wanted to do it again on this trip. Yufuin was the best place to do it as it’s a small town known for its hot springs and a picturesque lake set against rolling mountains.

Ramen Adventure in Kyushu
Ahh… Kyushu, the land of tonkotsu ramen. The delicious, steaming hot, thick, creamy broth that warms you up from the inside. It’s comfort food at its best, and one of our favourite meals.

Magic and Chaos at the Waisak Festival in Borobudur Temple
Releasing lanterns during the Waisak Festival set against the stunning backdrop of Borobudur Temple was magical, but not without some chaos. Think burning lanterns and trees, and you'll get the idea!

A Blissful Getaway in Da Nang
Our main objective for the recent three nights we spent in Da Nang? Much-needed rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation! To kick off our tranquil getaway, we decided to stay at The Blossom Resort Island, and boy, did it live up to our expectations!

Sun, Snow and Rain in the Alps (Switzerland)
Switzerland has always been on WJ and my bucket list, and when I had to go there for a work trip, we took the chance to extend it another 9 days for a holiday. While March wasn't the ideal time to visit, what with the unstable weather, it was too good a chance to pass up!
