Exploring Himeji, Kobe and Osaka: Castles, Beef, and a Pig Cafe
From a cycling adventure in Himeji to our first taste of Kobe beef to stroking pigs to sleep in Osaka, we had so much fun in our second part of our Japan trip after celebrating New Year's Day!

Ringing in the New Year in Okayama and Naoshima Island
Since we booked our holiday in Japan over the New Year, WJ and I decided to celebrate it like locals do - by savouring a steaming bowl of soba the night before on New Year's Eve and visiting a shrine at midnight to seek blessings for the year ahead!

City Life in Melbourne
Melbourne was never meant as the “main feature” of this trip - Tasmania was. But that’s not to say we didn’t enjoy Melbourne. We did!

Immersing Ourselves in Nature in Tasmania
Tasmania has always been on my bucket list of places to visit since I saw the breathtaking scenery in a travel booklet, and I’m so happy we finally got to go!

A Short Getaway in Vung Tau & HCM
Just four weeks after our short trip to Ho Chi Minh, we went on another short trip back to Ho Chi Minh. But since we had five days this time, we also hopped on a minibus to nearby Vung Tau for a change of scenery, and only spent the last day in Ho Chi Minh.

Long Weekend in Ho Chi Minh
The last time we were in Ho Chi Minh, WJ and I managed to get stuck in the toilet of our hotel room. And he had to kick a hole in the door for me to crawl through to get help. Thankfully, nothing epic happened this time. We just had simple fun exploring the city!

Welcoming Spring in Heidelberg
The picturesque city of Heidelberg along the Neckar River is famous for its romantic cityscape and being a college town with prestigious universities and the oldest university in Germany founded in 1386! What attracted us was its blend of old-world charm and vibrant student life, and we knew we had to visit the city while planning our trip to Germany!

Enchanted by Rothenburg ob der Tauber
Rothenburg ob der Tauber was beautiful, peaceful and picturesque. It's little wonder that many have said it's out of a fairytale and one of the most romantic towns in the world. Most visitors only swing by for a day trip, but we stayed for 4 days and it was perfect.

Rainy Nuremberg
Most of the time we were in Nuremberg, we were wishing "Rain, rain, go away!". Because sadly for us, it was raining for all 4 days we were there. We tried not to let it affect our time there too much by visiting mostly indoor places, but unfortunately, we couldn't fully enjoy Nuremberg because of the rain! We'll have to come again another time!

Snowing in Triberg
Just a week before we flew from Singapore, we checked the weather forecast for Triberg (and the other places we were travelling in Germany) and it was between 5 to 15°C. Imagine our shock when we touched down at Frankfurt airport and it was... Snowing!
