Career Break Travel: Munich
This was it! The start of our trip! We chose Munich to kick off our 3-month trip because it was the closest to the countries we wanted to visit, and we'd accumulated enough miles for 2 one-way direct flights from Singapore.

Budget Breakdown: 9 Days in Palawan
Although there was supposed to be bad weather in January (which is when we visited Palawan), we were blessed with pretty dry weather and a few days of glorious blue skies! Thank goodness for that because all of our activities were outdoors and torrential rains would have ruined most of our plans.

5 Activities to Do in Palawan if you Don’t Dive
What’s there to do in Palawan if you don’t dive? Plenty, as it turns out. Sure, you’ll be missing out on the gorgeous underwater life if you don’t know or learn how to dive. And Palawan IS known as a diver’s paradise. But if you’re afraid of deep, dark waters or scared of sea (or most) animals like me, you’ll still have lots to do in Palawan.

Budget Breakdown: 4 Days in Haikou
The trip to Haikou was quite a random one. I wanted to surprise WJ with a (very belated) birthday trip, and the nearer countries were all in the midst of their rainy seasons. Almost Stranded in Ozegahara, Oze National Park
With just an hour to rush for the last bus off the peak, WJ and I hurried under the glaring sun. We lifted our aching legs up the stony steps, the last bit of the trail after walking through the grasslands and through the forest. FINALLY. We ran to the bus with just 3 minutes to spare. Sweating profusely with our legs screaming in protest, we were safe at last!

Soaking in the View at Monsoon Valley
I don't drink wine. Or rather, I don't drink any form of alcohol. Never liked the taste and the bitterness it fills my mouth with. So what was I doing at the Monsoon Valley vineyard? For the view, of course!
